How to get a free federal Tax Employer ID Number / TIN/EIN

I’m following up showing how to go through the process:
After forming your corporation (see above post), I recommend Delaware, INC as well, LLC., or after obtaining a DBA, you can get a Tax ID Number. Note: You can get a tax id number without actually filing articles of incorporation, but come tax time, you might be in some trouble, so it’s best to have the corporation first, then file for an EIN.
- You can apply for an Federal TIN/EIN Tax ID number anytime online instantly during these hours:
- Monday – Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. Eastern time
- Saturday: 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Eastern time
- Sunday: 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Eastern time
Next up: Registering for a State Tax ID Number (if necessary). / Register for a California EDD Number.
